Wow : Mogging Fever

So it’s been about a month since I paused the blog and the last few days I’ve been itching to write something.  I haven’t got anything in particular to say, so I thought I’d give an update on what I’ve been doing over the last 28 days or so.

Mogging Fever !

I’ve caught it, and it doesn’t seem to be going away, but farming instances is a different and fun way to waste my time.  Thus far I have picked up a set for my hunter, druid, warlock, death knight (although his was vendor bought), and two sets for my warrior main.

I have successfully turned my tauren warrior into a paladin with the Tier 2 Judgement Set Recolor that is purple and silver.  I even picked up the Aldori Legacy Defender and Doom’s Edge to round out a pretty cool tank set. I know the axe doesn’t really match but in my opinion as long as the weapon looks bad ass, then I’m okay with it.

For a dps set I stuck with the paladin theme and farmed out the Tier 1 Lawbringer Armor Recolor which my guild mates have lovingly dubbed the “Red Banana Suit”. To go along with this I have my sword mogged to Reclaimed Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood.  I have about 5 various tier sets on my warrior that I will throw on every now and then but the two sets above are my favorite, not only because of looks but because I intended to farm them.  The others I just acquired and threw in my bank when the raids were new.

My tauren druid, although resto with a dps offspec, now looks like a rogue with feral shoulders.  I farmed out a purple recolor of the Dungeon Set 1 Shadowcraft Armor but changed the shoulders to Underdweller’s Spaulders when I got them from Morchok, he gave them away so willingly too ha ha. That giant mace you see is actually the Bloodskull Destroyer, a one hand mace that drops from Lieutenant Drake in the Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad instance.

I am currently farming a blue recolor of the Tier 2 Bloodfang Armor. I know, it’s another rogue set, but I’m also working on the Tier 2 Stormrage Raiment Recolor, which is a much more traditional resto druid set.

I liked my hunter’s set a lot more when I first saw it, now I’m sick of it, but it is a full set and that looks better than the myriad of junk I’m actually wearing.  Yes, he does look like a shaman in this recolor of the Tier 1 Shaman Earthfury Set.

Originally I couldn’t find a hunter set that I really liked but now the Tier 1 Giantstalker Armor set from Molten Core has grown on me and I’m also farming a recolor of the Tier 2 Dragonstalker Armor.  I’m not a huge fan of the way gear looks on a troll to begin with but I am finding it hard to justify race changing him just for mogging purposes.

My death knight’s gear is all vendor bought from an NPC in Ebon Hold. It is available only to death knights, but is a pretty quick and extremely cheap way to make your death knight look awesome.

I’m farming a recolor of the Dungeon Set 1 Lightforge Armor paladin gear and the Tier 2 Battlegear of Wrath Recolor for this guy.

This has to be my second favorite set next to my warrior’s tank gear. It’s a recolor of the Tier 2 Nemesis Raiment. The sword drops from Quagmirran in the heroic version of Slave Pens.

This guy is also working on a recolor of the Tier 1 Arcanist Regalia but I don’t see myself changing out his main set too often.

Holy crap I didn’t think this post would be so long!  It just goes to show that Mogging Fever is real and I’ve got it bad!  All of the gear I’ve set out to farm has come from Burning Crusade normal and heroic 5 mans, which has made it relatively easy to farm on 5 characters.  This is about all I’ve been doing since my last post.  I am posting auctions off and on and am up to ~150k gold but I’m not keeping track of anything, which is making life much more simple for the time being.  I hope you enjoyed the post!

Until next time, happy sales!
